What You Can Expect from Us
Specialist Solicitors Only
Every client is handled by a solicitor with dedicated experience in estate and inheritance law — not a generalist.
Fees Stated at the Start
You know what the service costs before any work begins. No surprises, no hidden charges.
No Pressure to Decide
Consultations are unhurried. You are never pushed to finalise anything before you feel comfortable.
Plain Language Throughout
Legal terms are explained before they are used. Documents are written to be read and understood, not stored unread.
Complete Discretion
Estate matters are personal. All information you share with us is handled with full professional confidentiality.
Local Knowledge, Wider Reach
Rooted in Penang with a thorough understanding of Malaysian inheritance law and the local context it operates in.
Specialist Expertise in Estate Law
Our solicitors focus exclusively on estate and inheritance matters. This means a depth of knowledge that a general practice cannot match — covering wills, probate, letters of administration, trusts, and the specific requirements of Malaysian legislation including the Wills Act 1959, Probate and Administration Act 1959, and Distribution Act 1958.
- Over fifteen years of combined estate law practice
- Registered with the Malaysian Bar
- Experience across Penang and Peninsular Malaysia
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
When your case is handled by someone who has worked in this area for years rather than months, fewer things are missed and fewer questions arise after the fact. Specialist knowledge matters most when the details are complex or when families are in a difficult period.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
You will never wonder what stage your matter has reached. Progress is communicated at each step, and we are accessible by phone and email during office hours without requiring a new appointment for every query.
Client Service That Is Genuinely Responsive
We understand that estates and wills involve more than paperwork. The people dealing with them are often managing grief, family relationships, and financial uncertainty at the same time. Our approach is to be accessible, to keep you informed without being overwhelming, and to treat each matter with the seriousness it deserves.
- Named solicitor on every matter
- Phone and email access during office hours
- Progress confirmed in writing at each stage
Clear, Stated Fees with No Hidden Extras
Our fees are set out openly before any work begins. Will preparation starts at RM 190, probate and estate administration at RM 630, and estate planning and trust advice at RM 415. These figures reflect the work involved, not an opaque billing structure. We comply with the Solicitors Remuneration Order and provide a written cost disclosure at engagement.
- Written fee disclosure before work starts
- No unexplained additional charges
- Disbursements explained separately and in advance
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
Legal costs are a real concern for many families. Knowing the fee at the outset allows you to plan properly and removes one source of uncertainty during what is often an already difficult time.

WHAT SETS US APART
Distinctive Features of Our Practice
The Unhurried Consultation
We do not time consultations. If you need an hour to ask questions and think through the options, you have it. The pace of the meeting follows what you need, not what is convenient for the schedule.
Documents Written to Be Read
Wills and other documents prepared by Legasi Chambers are drafted with the client as the primary reader. The language is precise where it needs to be, but accessible throughout. You should be able to read your own will and understand it.
Multilingual Service
Consultations are available in English, Malay, and Mandarin. Estate matters are personal and often sensitive — being able to discuss them in a language you are fully comfortable with matters.
Flexible Appointment Arrangements
We accommodate morning and afternoon appointments on weekdays and Saturday mornings. Remote consultations are available for clients outside Penang or who prefer to meet from home.
